15 Day Adventure Itinerary

Day 1 - Depart Australia today to begin your  African adventure!

 


 

Day 2 – On arrival in Johannesburg, you will take a complimentary Airport Shuttle Service for your overnight stay in Johannesburg at the Peermont Mondior Hotel. (Kindly note that check-in is only after 2pm).

Relax and spend the rest of your day at leisure.

Day 3 – After breakfast, you will take your complimentary Airport Shuttle Service tot he airport for your onward flight to Maun Airport. Upon arrival at Maun Airport, you will be met by a representative who will guide you to the twin engine aircraft that will fly you to the Okavanga Delta.

On arrival at the airstrip in the Delta, you will be met by your Camp guide for your transfer, in an open safari vehicle, to the camp. Enjoy a light lunch and some relaxation in the camp before departing on your first game activity.

Moremi Crossing is a new 16 tented camp built on a palm fringed island surrounded by the Moremi's game-rich seasonal floodplains and overlooking Chief's Island. Moremi Crossing will be a new style safari camp combining luxury with simplicity. This is a 100% eco-friendly development featuring the latest solar and waste disposal technology. Accommodation consists of 16 en suite and spacious tents raised on decks, each with their own veranda. We have both a Family Tent and a Honeymoon Tent. The Okavango is an immense river that never meets the sea. Instead, it's crystal clear waters spread across the Kalahari Desert, forming Africa's largest wetland wonder. The Delta is an abundant oasis amid the vast plains and pans of the desert that covers most of Southern Africa. Its waterways are a mesh of meandering and intercepting channels, creating a haven for Africa's most celebrated wildlife.

Day 4 – An early morning wake up call, where you will be served a tea or coffee, before departing on your morning game activity. On return to the camp, enjoy a hearty brunch and spend the rest of the day relaxing in your room or at any of the camp common areas.

In the late afternoon, high tea, before departing on your evening activity. Enjoy a sundowner in the middle of the Okavango before returning to the camp for a dinner under the stars.  

The amazing foresight of Chief Moremi, created on of the worlds most famous reserves, conserving part of the Okavango Delta and the plains to its east. The reserve covers more than 3900 square kilometers of pristine wilderness, and the varied terrain includes savannah, winding waterways, and thick forest. This diversity supports an incredibly wide spectrum of wildlife, ranging from large herds of buffalo, wildebeest and zebra, to the rare Sitatunga and Lechwe antelope, and lion, cheetah and packs of wild dog in the open grasslands. The birdlife is prolific and includes most of the 550 bird species recorded on the Botswana national bird list. A range of luxury lodges in the reserve offer visitors the perfect base to experience this corner of paradise.

Day 5 – This morning an early game activity and brunch before, your guide, transfers you to the airstrip, were your aeroplane awaits to fly you back to Kasane.

Upon arrival at Kasane Airport you will be met for your transfer to Cresta Mowana Resort. Check in upon arrival. Enjoy lunch at the lodge before departing on your afternoon/evening game activity (lunch for your own account).

Upon return from your evening activity, return to the lodge to enjoy dinner.

Right on the doorstep is the meeting of four African countries: Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Cresta Mowana offers an excellent getaway location to choose, Victoria Falls or the Zambezi region. The close proximity to Victoria Falls  Airport, Livingstone International Airport and Kasane International Airport makes it easily accessible, with daily road transfers or charter flights connecting all these airports with Cresta Mowana. The lodge has been recently renovated; matching a magical lodge experience to the spectacular game viewing.

Day 6 – Today you will receive an early morning wake up call to go on your early morning game activity. Return to the lodge to enjoy a hearty breakfast.

Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

The Chobe River forms the northern boundary of the Chobe National Park, renowned for its reliable and diverse game viewing. Safaris are conducted both by boat and on land. This section of the park is best known for its elephant and hippo populations, and the waters attract all manner of game including large herds of buffalo and the lions that prey on them.

Day 7 – This morning after breakfast, you will be collected for your transfer to the Victoria Falls Hotel.

Check-in on arrival and enjoy a walking tour of the falls in the afternoon. You'll discover how the Falls were formed and what local customs and traditions surround them. The tour is extremely informative and end with a visit to the local art and crafts centre. The tour includes National Park fees, the services of a qualified guide and bottled mineral water. 

One of the original natural wonders of the world, the Victoria Falls is a World Heritage Site and an extremely popular tourism attraction. Victoria Falls is usually known locally as 'The Smoke that Thunders'. 

Optional Activities (for your own account); Boma Dinner.

An evening of non-stop entertainment includes permeances by traditional singers, dancers and drummers, face painting and a four course dinner featuring local cuisine. The grand finale is an interactive drumming show, giving you the chance to discover your inner African rhythm!

Day 8 – This morning after hearty breakfast, spend of the rest of the day at leisure or enjoy one of the optional activities below. 

Optional Tour (for your own account);

Scheduled Sundowner Cruise - The Zambezi cruise is a superb way to relax and enjoy the beauty of the river. Clients may have the opportunity to see a variety of game; including hippos, crocodile, elephant as well as enjoy many different bird species. The Sunset cruise is very popular and includes finger snacks, beer, wine, local spirits and soft drinks. There are great photo opportunities against often - spectacular African sunset.

Day 9 - This morning after an early breakfast, you will be transferred to Livingstone Airport for your onward flight to the Kruger National Park. You will be met by a representative of your Lodge at Nelspruit Airport who will arrange your transport to the lodge. Spend the afternoon at your leisure before ending the day with sumptuous 3-course dinner.

Day 10 - Today, start with an early morning game drive in the Kruger National Park. Ensure you bring your camera along as you will be spotting the BIG 5 in their natural environment. The abundance of species you will see will be an experience of a lifetime. Get up close to the animals in your specialised safari vehicle lead by an expert guide. The game drive is approximately 6-8hours.

Day 11 - Spend the morning at your leisure, then enjoy a sunset game drive, attracting various animals not present during the day.

Day 12 - Rise early again today for your final game drive in the Kruger National Park - you might spot animals you missed on the previous days and encounter different species.

Day 13 - Today is a free day. After breakfast, you may simply wish to relax and unwind from the previous days safaris or partake in an optional excursion to Swaziland or Panoramic Landscapes.

Optional tour (at your own expense): You may want to consider an optional Swaziland day tour. After an early breakfast, you will visit a Swazi Village and gain insight to the Swazi culture and traditions. The tour includes an authentic African lunch, dancing and an opportunity to interact with the local community.

Optional tour (at your own expense): Panoramic Tour. Rise early for one of the most scenic tours in South Africa. The tour explores the North Eastern escarpment of the 

Drakensberg and includes a visit to Blyde River Canyon, Gods Window and Bourkes Potholes which is a geological phenomenon.

Day 14 – After breakfast, depart the Lodge for your onward flight home or to Cape Town International Airport (if you're doing the Cape Town Extension).

Cape Town Extension Option

Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met at the airport for your transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of your day at leisure to explore this postcard city. Enjoy the shops and restaurants at the V&A Waterfront.

Cape Town Extension Option

 

4 Day Adventure Itinerary

Day 15 – After breakfast, you will be collected at your hotel for a 30 minute tour of Afrogem, one of the leading jewellery manufacturers in South Africa. You will have firsthand experience of how smelted gold is transformed and watch the craftsman set gems and semi-precious stones in the creation of jewellery. After, enjoy a trip up the cable car to the top of Table Mountain for some exquisite views of Cape Town! When you are ready, make your own way back to your hotel where the rest of the day is yours to leisure. Taxi's are available at the Cable Car Station for your transfer back to your hotel.

Day 16 - Today, enjoy a day at leisure.

Optional Tour (at your own expense):  Franschoek wine tram tour. Nestled between towering mountains in the beautiful Cape wine lands lies the magnificent Franschoek Valley. This is the food and wine heartland of the country, where splendid wines are grown and top chefs create lasting memories. The wine tour is a combination of tram and tram bus that will transport you around a loop seven stops allowing you to hop off at each stop and experience the activities on offer, may it be wine tasting on a cellar tour or lunch. AUD$155 per person.

Optional Tour (at your own expense): Robben Island - Enjoy a ferry ride and tour Robben Island off the coast of Cape Town where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years. AUD$95 per person.

Day 17 -  After an early breakfast, bring your camera to enjoy a full day tour of the Cape Peninsula! The tour begins with a scenic drive along the Atlantic Coast passing through Camps Bay and the fishing village of Hout Bay. The tour includes a trip to Cape Point at the southern western tip of the Cape Peninsula with the most spectacular views. The Cape Point Nature Reserve comprises of 17300 acres of indigenous fauna and flora. Here you can see wildlife that includes baboon's, rhebok, Cape Mountain Zebra and the elusive eland. Witness the union of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. On route back to your hotel we also visit the penguin colony at the Boulders Beach (entry on your own account).  The last stop is at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens for a short walking tour of the beautiful garden.

Day 18 - After breakfast and check out from your hotel, you will be transferred to Cape Town International Airport for your onward flight home.
